Long Mile Road

Elanora Court is a residential urban infill scheme consisting of 153 units, a gym, and a concierge. There are two distinct typologies – Apartments blocks and own door Maisonettes/Duplexes resulting in an efficient use of land.

The blocks vary in height from 3-6 storeys, the variation in scale in the blocks is a direct response to the site context but also offers a visual cohesiveness throughout the scheme. The apartment Block 1 provides a strong built edge to Long Mile Road. Block 2 provides a softer internal edge safeguarding the amenity of the adjacent existing rear gardens with its staggered nature. The layout of these blocks combines to enclose a high quality, centrally landscaped courtyard offering the residents a semi-private amenity space. Parking is provided beneath the landscaped podium, fully concealed by the buildings and plant and refuse storage are also located in this area. This results in a predominantly car-free, pedestrian and cycle friendly public realm.

The primary materials for the development are a mix of high-quality brick, stone, and metal cladding to the street elevations. The material choice ensures that the buildings are durable as well as being of high visual quality. Two variations of brickwork colour are employed throughout the scheme.
